If you run or help manage a club, you decide who gets in. You can invite people with a link, and you approve or reject the people who request to join. Here's how invitations and member statuses work.
Invite link
Every club has an invite link you can share. Anyone who joins through the link is approved automatically — handy for inviting people you already know. Anyone who requests to join without the link still goes through manual approval.
Approving join requests
As a club owner or admin, open your club's members list to see who has asked to join. From there you can approve or reject each pending request. There's no notification promising to alert you, so it's worth checking the members list from time to time.
Approval window
Action requests promptly — ideally within about 30 days. It's best not to leave people waiting in pending for a long time.
Member statuses
- Pending — the person has requested to join and is waiting for approval.
- Approved — a full member; their results count toward the club's score.
- Rejected — the request was declined.
- Blocked — the person is prevented from joining.
Communities
Communities work differently — there's no membership request to approve. You become part of a community by registering for one of its events, so taking part is handled by the event's own registration rather than by an approval step. See Clubs vs. communities.
