The Mountain Master board is a second leaderboard that runs alongside the main one on Classic events. It celebrates the riders who take on the most climbing — regardless of how fast they go.
What Mountain Master rewards
Mountain Master is about pure difficulty. It adds up the difficulty scores of all the routes you've completed — the same difficulty values explained in Event format: Classic — and ranks you on that total. Time doesn't matter here at all. Whether you flew up a route or took your time, it counts the same toward Mountain Master.
How it's ranked
Riders are sorted by their total difficulty score, highest first. The board is split by surface type: switch between Paved and Trail to see the standing for that kind of route.
Mountain Master vs. the Classic leaderboard
Mountain Master runs on Classic events, and the two boards there reward different things:
- The Classic leaderboard uses your time-aware Score — finishing quickly helps you climb it.
- Mountain Master uses difficulty coverage only — completing more routes, and harder ones, moves you up even if you're not fast.
So if speed isn't your strength, Mountain Master is the board where steady, high-mileage climbing really pays off.
